This is not my last blog post ever, just the last one as a student.
At first I had mixed feelings about a weekly blog post, but I have grown to really enjoy sharing my experiences with you, so thank you for reading! Or maybe I've just been talking to myself for last few months...
First Day of Classes, September 2015
I had no idea what to expect coming into the photography program at NAIT. I was excited and more so nervous. As I am now, leaving the program two years later, but the nervousness is different this time around. It's now a "Uh oh" I am a professional photographer... What do I do now? Nevertheless, I will do my best to make my instructors proud, because without their eagerness to share their wealth of knowledge, none of this would've been possible.
Looking back on my time here at NAIT, I think the most valuable thing I learned was not the technical aspects, but the importance of having the determination to succeed, and strength in numbers. As a class we had our ups and downs, but one thing I noticed is that we were always in it together. This family has taught me more than any other experience in my life. I am so grateful to have met each and every one of you.
Thesis Night, February 2017
It's a weird feeling, spending so much time somewhere, just to see it go. I know you've heard it a million times before, but when one door closes another one opens. Take what you've learned, spread your wings, and fly.
I will miss this school, my instructors, my classmates. All strangers at first, but now friends. I wish the best for them.
The family that was built will never be forgotten.
