Shelby and I took a trip down the Ice Fields Parkway last weekend. We thought it would be a good weekend to hike to Helen Lake, one of my personable favourites. What we got was a weekend of heavy snow and rain. All things aside. We made the best of it! Here is a roll of film I captured from the trip.
As we approached Nordegg the temperature dropped to 2 degrees Celsius and the rain turned to snow. Some of the best gas station coffee I have ever had. This may become a regular route for us.
After surviving the Ice Fields Parkway we stopped at Lake Louise as our hike had been cancelled due a foot of snow being reported on the trail to Helen Lake. We thought it would be deserted but the weather didn't seem to be a deterrent for tourists.
Day Two: After Surviving a cold night at Camp we decided to meet up with Marty one of my long time friends, who lives in Canmore. We attempted the three sisters pass but were cut short due to snow and running water. We will definitely be back later in the season to finish where we left off.
Thanks for stopping by!
I can't wait to share more rolls of film with you this summer, and hope you get out to visit the parks for yourselves!
